Susan Gordon (July 27, 1949 – December 11, 2011) was an American child actress who appeared in films and numerous episodes of television programs such as The Twilight Zone, My Three Sons, and The Donna Reed Show.[1]
Actress. A child star from the late 1950s to the late 1960s, she is probably best known for a particularly memorable episode of "The Twilight Zone". The daughter of producer Bert Gordon, she was raised within the show business milieu and made her silver screen bow as a Girl Scout with a broken doll in 1958's forgettable horror flick "Attack of the Puppet People". Susan got to sing as the younger incarnation of Danny Kaye's daughter Dorothy Nichols in "The Five Pennies" (1959) and that same year was seen in a television remake of the Christmas classic "Miracle on 34th Street". In the March 9, 1962, episode of "The Twilight Zone" entitled "The Fugitive" she was Jenny, a crippled young girl befriended by a space traveler with magical powers who was portrayed by J. Pat O'Malley. Susan earned credits on a number of television series of the day including "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "The Donna Reed Show", "Gunsmoke", "77 Sunset Strip", "Ben Casey", and "The Danny Thomas Show". On the big screen she appeared in her father's 1960 "Tormented" and 1966 "Picture Mommy Dead" which starred Zsa Zsa Gabor; between 1962 and 1967 she was seen several times on "My Three Sons" but then left the screen. After college Susan lived in Japan for 13 years and while there married and began raising her eventual six children. She later earned a master's degree in computer graphics and was to spend 21 years as chief information officer of an industrial products company. In 2002 Susan returned to the stage in the Off Broadway "A Magic Place In A New Time" and in 2003 she sang "You're a Dolly" from "Attack of the Puppet People" on the CD "Jeepers Creepers: Great Songs From Horror Films". In her later years she was a frequent and popular guest at autograph and memorabilia shows; at her death from cancer a number of her performances were available on DVD
